In 2003, Mike earned his Professional Financial Planning Certification from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, as well as the Certified Wealth Manager Certification from BB&T’s University. These credentials underscore his commitment to providing the highest level of service to his clients. Mike is dedicated to listening to his clients, understanding their unique needs, and advocating for their best interests. He believes in assembling the most talented resources to tailor strategies that simplify complex financial concepts, making them accessible and actionable. Mike specializes in working with affluent individuals and families, closely held business owners, and retail investors, guiding them through their financial journeys with confidence and clarity. His commitment to community service is evident through his recent and prior involvement with the UWSHR’s Agency Funding Committee and the Board of Directors for Horizon’s Hampton Roads. He has also served multiple terms as Chairman of The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and dedicated his time to coaching prep-league baseball in Great Bridge.
Residing in the BackBay area of Virginia Beach with his family, they enjoy growing blueberries and tending to their apple and pear orchard. In Mike’s free time, he is an avid offshore fisherman and wildlife enthusiast, finding joy and inspiration in the great outdoors.
